**About the role**

We have two exciting opportunities for Entry Level Youth Engagement officers working approximately 12 hours per week, including weekend work.

The Youth Engagement Officer is responsible for supporting the delivery of high quality, social and recreationally based programs that engage, support, and connect young people in the communities in which the YMCA WA Operates.

**Essential Criteria**
- Working knowledge and understanding of key issues facing young people
- Experience in working with culturally diverse clients and/or youth at risk.
- Good teamwork skills and willingness to support and assist team members.
- Understanding of the WA Youth Work Code of Ethics
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong administration skills and use of technology (experience with WordPress an advantage)
- Qualifications in Youth Work, Education, Community Work, Social Work or other relevant discipline and equivalent experience
- National Police Clearance.
- HLTAID003 First Aid certificate
- Working with Children Check (Employee)
- Food Handling/Safety Certificate
- Current drivers’ licence with own car
