Leading construction contractor are seeking an experienced coordinator to manage supplier onboarding activity.
**Your new company**

Our client are a civil construction contractor who are a leader in their space, working on some of Australia's most iconic projects. As they continue on a path of aggressive growth, they are looking to add to their procurement team.

**Your new role**

Based out of the head office in Port Melbourne and reporting to an established Procurement Manager, you will play a key role in facilitating supplier onboarding, assisting to negotiate contractual terms, and general procurement coordination and administration.

key roles and responsibilities will include:

- Supplier prequalification
- Negotiation of basic contracts terms and conditions in conjunction with the Procurement Manager and legal team
- Completion of supplier and procurement documentation
- Acting as a key point of liaison for supplier queries, requests and system change updates
- Supporting accounts payable with supplier invoicing queries
- Supporting broader organisational procurement activities on an ad hoc basis
- Contributing to process improvement

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be successful in this role, you'll come with previously demonstrated (at least 2-3 years) experience in a procurement, supplier relationship, accounts payable or supply chain roles within a diversified services focused organisation, ideally within the construction/infrastructure industry.

You will need to be prepared to understand the complexities of national, multisite organisation delivering a diverse range of technical services, be able to liaise with stakeholders at all levels both blue and white collar, be confident in negotiation based on standard contract templates and guidelines, and be proactive in identifying and working to resolve supplier issues.
