**About the Role**
As a Home Recoveries & Liability Consultant, you will be responsible for identifying recovery opportunities and utilising your knowledge to convert these claims into successful recoveries. You will also be responsible for minimising missed recovery opportunities and negotiating settlement from a third party.
**Position Accountabilities**
- End to end management of a recoveries & Legal Liability portfolio
- Assess/Triage recovery opportunities
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to help promote recoveries
- Consult with external solicitors on claims requiring litigation to achieve recovery or the prevention of our exposure to liability
- “Think outside the box” - utilise careful preparation and display high levels of attention to detail and sound judgement to identify opportunities and progress files
- Help identify trends to mitigate lost recovery opportunities
- Assess liability and recovery potential including claim management and preparation of claim reviews
**Skills & Experience**
- Sound knowledge of the claims and/or recoveries process
- Home Claims technical skills
- Sharp eye for detail
- Strong ability to negotiate a settlement with third parties and insurers
