The Role

KBR is seeking an experienced Commercial Advisory professional to support the ongoing management of the contractual framework which supports our client to support capability development efforts to enhance land force tactical communications.

Working with the existing LAND 4140 team, the role will be proactive in the development and coordination from strategy and planning through to approach to market and execution and implementation of procurement processes and methodologies. The role will be adept at working with multi-disciplinary teams and varied stakeholders to ensure the Commonwealth meets all capability objectives within a compliant commercial framework.

**To be successful in this role, you will possess**:
Have a minimum of five years’ experience in a similar role

Possess a relevant recognised tertiary qualification in Business, Legal, Finance or similar, or demonstrate relevant professional experience.

Hold an V1 security clearance and able to maintain one

Experience in Defence and Commonwealth Government finance and contracting policy and practices.

Experience in Defence procurement.

Understanding of the content of the Defence Procurement Manual (DPM), and related guidance, and the ASDEFCON suite of tendering and contracting templates.

Assist in the development of associated requirements definitions, business cases, strategies, plans, and tender documentation;
Assist with tendering activities, and providing expert advice to Defence during those activities;
Assist in the provision of probity advice and ensuring compliance with probity principles within procurement processes and when engaging with industry;
Support the conduct of training and education of Defence personnel in relation to procurement methodologies, contracting options and tender development; and

Undertake additional work as required to support the outcomes of the Project

Support the assessment of supply market trends including current and future market capacity and capability;
Assist in the design and development of appropriate procurement methodologies and contracting options (including commercial arrangements) to:
Deliver an optimised value-for-money outcome;
Mitigate risks;
Reduce costs of tendering to industry and the Commonwealth;
Minimise through-contract cost of ownership;
Minimise the level of management, governance, and administration;
Where appropriate employ a collaborative approach to engaging industry; and

Employ contemporary performance management.
