We currently have a long-term contract opportunity based in Canberra for a Commercial Advisor to join a tier one consulting firm. This role is a critical position that will directly support a major aerospace project that will have a direct influence over Defence capability.

The successful applicant will have significant experience in coordinating industry stakeholders and supporting a complex source selection process.

In this role you will be responsible for providing support to the projects commercial team, relating to the development and negotiation of ongoing contracts, as well as formulating acquisition and sustainment implementation strategies within the project scope.

**Responsibilities**
- Act as the commercial representative at industry meetings and other engagements
- Coordinating suppliers prior to and during the project's procurement processes including: establishing and recording industry engagement, managing clarification questions, and managing associated registers
- Undertaking smaller ad-hoc procurements
- Supporting development, negotiation and execution of Procurement documentation
- Conducting the commercial evaluation of suppliers
- Preparing documentation for Government decision making
- Implement procurement and commercial related documentation

**Skills & Experience**
- Experience with Defence and Government procurement process
- Experience with the development of ASDEFCON artefacts
- Proven experience in contract management of commercial arrangements
- Tertiary qualification in business or law is highly desirable
- Demonstrated commercial and contract management experience
- Recent experience working in CASG or other Defence project environments
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Current NV1 AGSVA Clearance current or reinstatable is essential

Due to the nature of the project's applicants MUST meet ITAR requirements and hold a current NV1 or higher security clearance
