ABOUT THIS ROLE

Exciting opportunity for **Commercial Support Specialists **to work on exclusive defence projects in Canberra. This role must be performed on a **contract** basis.

By taking up this opportunity, you will be providing support required for the Defence Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) and grow connections with **leading ADF experts**. You will be allowed to showcase and develop your commercial and procurement expertise whilst work alongside a like-minded team, managing commercial risk across the capability and procurement life cycles to help Defence meet its objectives, maximise value for money and meet legislative and mandatory requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provision of commercial advice of procurement projects.
- Support in the management of procurement projects.
- Advice on differing procurement approaches, including procurement policy.
- Preparing approach to market documentation, Request for Tender (RFT) etc.
- Participating in tender evaluations.
- Drafting contractual documentation.
- Probity advice and support.
- Drafting up LRA's.
- Vendor negotiation and project implementation.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED
- ** Australian Citizenship with a minimum Baseline Security Clearance.**:

- Must have demonstrated and understanding and/or experience in the identification and mitigation of procurement risks, preparation of procurement advice, sourcing/tender development, probity, evaluation and contract management.
- Experience in broad commercial acumen, in particular sourcing, quotations, orders, supplier engagement and delivery management.

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
- Defence experience, or knowledge of Defence processes.
- A commercial awareness, highly developed interpersonal skills, the ability to work in a team and knowledge of Commonwealth procurement policies is highly valued.
- Successful completion of Defence specific Commercial courses such as Contract Risk Modules and ASDEFCON Template user training.
