
Inventory Controller

Osborne Richardson is searching for an Inventory Controller for a permanent role based in Western Sydney. Our client is an Australian market giant with a reputation for fine foods and flavours, and this role is an excellent opportunity for someone with demonstrated experience in a similar role.
In this role you will:
- Oversee the inventory for the region including internal and external warehouses
- Work effectively with key stakeholders to execute correct inventory and warehouse processes
- Undertake stocktakes (internal and external), POS stocktake and damages reporting including posting, reconciliation variance analysis and consolidation of supporting documentation
- Work closely with the supplying sites and transport providers to ensure continuity and prioritisation of inventory requirements
- Be responsible for the stock to include ordering, stocktake, low code report, damages, reconciling of stock variance analysis and consolidation of supporting documentation
- Adhere to the company's Health and Safety Policy within the workplace including working in a safe and efficient manner ensuring all company policies and procedures are adhered to
- Oversee training to warehouse staff and provide feedback where necessary
- Work closely across all aspects of the business, in particular Planning, Production, Logistics and ensure support to meet sales demand
- Investigate all potential issues and ensure timely and accurate processing of inventory discrepancy transactions including discrepancies and returns
- Monitor Daily stock In Transit and set priority of warehouse unload activities and report on all matters of site Inventory
- Manage and address stock discrepancies to determine root cause and execute strategies to minimise variances and stock write-offs
Essential Criteria:
- Demonstrated experience working in an inventory control role or related logistics/ distribution environment within the food industry
- Experience managing and delivering delivery documentation and relevant pallet dockets
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, excellent organisational and time management skills
- Attention to detail, with sound analytical and problem-solving skills
