**Who are we looking for?**

We’re looking for a Safety Health & Wellbeing Officer to work with our client Main Roads WA on a 6 month fixed term contract based in Kalgoorlie. You may be residentially based, or the role can be fly in fly out from Perth.

**Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in**:

- Facilitating the immediate reporting into EQSafe (INX software) of incidents and near misses, hazards, non-conformances, system improvements and implement corrective actions
- Conducting safety inspections on the offices, depots and work sites, observing for compliance with safety systems and recommend appropriate correct actions
- Reporting to the Manager on SHW risks relating to project safety, plant operation and conditions
- Providing assistance in the drafting or review and implementation of safety management plans
- Attending and/or conduct Toolbox and Safety meetings and Inductions
- Maintain training registers for staff and contractors, including certificates of training and their competences in the use of various types of plant, records of service and identified skill gaps

**What you will bring to the team**:

- Application of Work Health and Safety Acts and regulations
- Research, analysis and problem solving
- A track record in building and enhancing stakeholder relationships
- Using corporate systems for safety reporting and record keeping

GHD has been appointed by Main Roads Western Australia to deliver a state-wide Operational Asset Management Support Service (AMSS) contract. Under this contract, GHD provides centralised and regional support to assist Main Roads manage and maintain the State Road network.
