Join us in shaping the future of work health and safety as we transition to a centralised support model for our HBF Physio and Life Ready brands. As the Health and Safety Advisor, you’ll coordinate the standardisation of health and safety protocols across diverse operations while making significant impact on the efficiency and consistency of our work health and safety practices.

You will consult with our people and management to maintain a current work health and safety risk profile that reflects work practices, controls and risk levels while collaborating with the Manager Health and Safety to provide reporting and recommendations to HBF Executives and management.

**What you’ll do**
- Assist in the development and continuous uplift of HBF’s Work Health and Safety Management System (WHSMS) to ensure its alignment to ISO 45001.
- Assist in the development, implementation and monitoring of health and safety policies, procedures and safety practices in line with relevant legislation.
- Coordinate Emergency Response Plans and capabilities to ensure readiness for emergency situations.
- Ensure hazards and incidents are promptly identified, reported to stakeholders and corrective actions put in place to mitigate risk.
- Conduct inspections and support internal and external audits to meet work health and safety obligations.
- Facilitate the resolution of complex health and safety issues, maintaining a consultative relationship with health and safety champions and management.

**About you**
Drawing from your previous experience in a health and safety role, you will demonstrate knowledge of Work Health and Safety Acts, Regulations, Standards, codes of practice and contemporary safety practices in all you do.

You’ll exercise a high degree of initiative to determine priorities, meet deadlines while working effectively independently and as part of a team, comfortably managing your own workload.

You display well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with a high attention to detail and are committed to continuous improvement by looking for efficiencies to implement.

Certification from a peak body, such as the Australian Institute of Health & Safety as well as qualifications or experience in methodologies such as ICAM and Lead Investigator would set you up for success in this role.
