**About the Role**
Are you passionate about promoting the responsible conduct of research and driving cultural change? We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager, Education and Engagement to join our team. You will play a pivotal role in designing, supporting and delivering education, training and other engagement initiatives across the Office of Research Ethics and Integrity (OREI) and the University. You will lead a team and engage a diverse range of stakeholders to advance responsible research practices, empowering the collective pursuit of knowledge through research excellence.
This senior leadership position will work closely with the Director, OREI, and be given a considerable degree of autonomy to lead a small team in developing and managing education and outreach programs aimed at enhancing research ethics and integrity practices. Your responsibilities will include policy and process development, consultation, and rollout strategies. You will collaborate with senior leaders at the university and engage stakeholders to build and nurture strong relationships. Through your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, you will a key liaison for fostering constructive partnerships across the University with OREI.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and managing the Education and Engagement team within OREI, fostering a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement through staff development and mentoring.
- Develop and implement education initiatives promoting responsible research conduct throughout the University.
- Direct and deliver strategic projects, including policy development and review, ensuring compliance with national and international codes and funding body requirements.
- Provide strategic advice to senior management on research integrity, compliance, and opportunities, while cultivating strong partnerships with stakeholders both within and outside the University.

Your expertise enables you to become a trusted and credible advisor to senior, influencing outcomes and driving cultural change to promote responsible research conduct. Your excellent communication skills enable you to effectively engage a wide range of audiences, delivering impact and gaining buy-in. With a proven track record of managing competing priorities, you consistently deliver best practice service while upholding the highest standards of excellence.
You will also have:
- A relevant qualification and extensive experience in the design and delivery of education and engagement initiatives, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and training in a complex environment.
- Extensive experience leading and developing a team, with demonstrated ability to communicate key strategic objectives and support staff to achieve organisational goals.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering strategic projects, including the development and review of policies, guidelines, procedures, and processes.
- Demonstrated understanding of the challenges faced by researchers, including but not limited to the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research and the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research, is **desirable**.
