About Us

**Queensland Representative School Sport**:

- Enables safe, affordable and equitable representative school sport pathways in all Queensland schools with an unrelenting focus on excellence, engagement and wellbeing for students and staff.
- Provides opportunities for students and staff to develop the capabilities of leadership, resilience, teamwork, sense of fair play and sportsmanship on and off the field.
- Leads the delivery of district, regional, state, national and international events and championships in a diverse range of individual and team sports for Queensland school students.
- Provides accessible and relevant professional learning opportunities for staff to develop their capability to lead representative school sport.
- Builds and maintains sustainable community partnerships, leveraging skills and resources which complement and enhance our representative school sport programs.

Your Opportunity
The Queensland School Sport Branch is looking for an energetic and experienced Sports Officer to be part of a dynamic team that supports Queensland representative school sport. Your role will involve leading the statewide development and implementation of innovative strategic priorities in school sport. In this position, you will have the opportunity to support and strengthen futures-focussed pathways for students and staff, lead the delivery of national events, provide professional learning opportunities for staff and build and maintain community partnerships with a range of stakeholders in representative school sport.
About you

**As Queensland School Sports Officer, you will**:
- Lead statewide strategic agendas for representative school sport
- Time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks according to timeframes.
- Ability to form partnerships with a range of stakeholders
- Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development
- Be futures oriented and strategic
- Strong written and spoken communication skills
- Ability to provide and receive feedback effectively to enhance team outcomes.
