**Coach Control Manager**

**About the role**

Reporting to the IOC Operations Manager, the Coach Control Manager works closely with IOC Duty Managers and teams across Coach Services, Planning, and Customer Experience to deliver safe, reliable and well-coordinated coach operations.

The Coach Control Manager is responsible for monitoring the daily delivery of more than 1,500 scheduled coach services across the V/Line network, while overseeing the deployment of replacement coaches during planned and unplanned rail disruptions.

Leading a team of Customer Controllers, this role ensures coach deployment plans are well-developed, clearly communicated and effectively implemented.
- Key accountabilities include:_
- Driving continuous improvement by modernising coach deployment processes, including implementing real-time tracking, patronage measurement and on-time performance monitoring systems.
- Developing and maintaining standard operating procedures for coach deployment and operational tracking within the Integrated Management System.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with scheduled coach operators, supplementary providers and the Integrated Service Provider to support smooth operations and compliance.
- Leading communication improvements related to coach services, including real-time information updates for customers during planned and unplanned disruptions.
- Enhancing team readiness by facilitating ongoing skill development and providing the resources required for efficient disruption response.
- Ensuring accurate record-keeping of coach deployments to facilitate timely invoicing, reporting and remuneration of coach suppliers.

**About you**

You are a leader with proven experience navigating dynamic operational environments, bringing valuable experience from fast-paced disruption response roles in customer service, communications, control rooms or the transport industry. Experience with coach and heavy rail operations is highly regarded.
- Leadership in fast-paced, high-pressure environments, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 to support effective operational management.
- A collaborative approach, skilled at engaging diverse stakeholders to identify and resolve issues.
- A solid understanding of disruption management and contingency planning.
- The ability to translate complex operational information clearly for both internal teams and customers.
