**THE ROLE**

Applications are invited from creative, proactive, and team orientated people with the following interests and skills:

- Interest in the role light plays in architecture, art, science, and society.
- Interest in learning and developing lighting design and technical skills across a wide array of projects.
- Design background with relevant qualification preferred, i.e., Lighting Design or related field (Architecture, Interior design, Landscape Architecture, Graphic Design, Performance lighting, etc)
- Some project experience preferred, presentation skills, professional and open-minded attitude.
- Communicate effectively with internal/external stakeholders.
- Represent the company to a professional standard at all times.
- Prepare reports for clients on matters relating to project designs.
- Coordinate design and documentation with other engineering services and with other team members
- Carry out assigned project and design work as delegated in support of technical and commercial standards.

**DUTIES**
- Provide general support to the National Lighting Design team.
- Develop lighting designs for urban (exterior, landscape), interior, road, and infrastructure projects.
- Undertake design calculations and light modelling using AGI32 and other software packages
- Prepare technical drawings and other design documentation as required using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
- REVIT skills are very desirable
- Have some knowledge of Adobe Design Suite (Photoshop, Indesign) is preferred
- Have some knowledge of lamps, luminaires and their suppliers.
- Have the ability to simultaneously work on several different projects and tasks.
- Have some knowledge of architecture and wider building services.
- Have the ability to communicate effectively and actively participate in projects
- Have the ability to communicate effectively both in written and verbal formats
- Have the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
