**The Opportunity**

This is a strategic hire of which will see you being part of the national team. You will run your own projects as well as be 2ic to the Lighting team Director and assist to train and mentor more junior staff.

Primary duties will include:

- Undertake architectural lighting design for a variety pf projects across sectors e.g. cultural, commercial, hospitality, retail and transport etc.
- Perform lighting calculations and modelling using AGI32 software or similar. Experience with AutoCAD is preferred, but not essential
- Produce creative and technical documentation reports to meet client requirements across a wide range of projects
- Assist with business development including identifying pursuits and the preparation of fee proposals for various sized projects
- Participate in training and other team activities (discipline, multi-discipline, and others) to extend and share own knowledge
- Maintain professional affiliations and actively contributing to continuing professional development

**About you**:

- Provide general support to the National Lighting Design team.
- Develop lighting designs for urban (exterior, landscape), interior, road, and infrastructure projects.
- Undertake design calculations and light modelling using AGI32 and other software packages
- Prepare technical drawings and other design documentation as required using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
- REVIT skills are very desirable
- Have some knowledge of Adobe Design Suite (Photoshop, Indesign) is preferred
- Have some knowledge of lamps, luminaires and their suppliers.
- Have the ability to simultaneously work on several different projects and tasks.
- Have some knowledge of architecture and wider building services.
- Have the ability to communicate effectively and actively participate in projects
- Have the ability to communicate effectively both in written and verbal formats
- Have the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
