**Regional Health & Safety Manager (NSW & ACT)**

**The Role**:
Reporting to the Regional General Manager and apart of the Regional Management Team, we are seeking a leader to advise and support Leaders in legislative compliance matters related to HSEQ. Topics such as Visible Leadership, Fundamental Risk Management, Training, Environmental Management and QA events as well as Hazard and Incident lead and lag indicator data compilation and reporting will make up the responsibilities of this role.

**Key Activities**:

- Visible Leadership - Coaching and mentoring of leaders in the field
- Elimination of Serious Injuries - Elimination of serious injuries by promoting safety, implementing a system for accountability and championing training and skills
- Ensure Legislative Compliance and advise on OH&S and Environmental legislation
- Lead by example - by modelling compliance to all company policies, directives, work methods, relevant laws and ensure staff compliance
- Develop, deliver and schedule training programmes
- Management of Insurance and reduction of risk/loss (Workers Compensation, Vehicles and Public Liability
- Safety Planning and safety program development
- Safety Leadership - Lead and promote safety at all levels within the Region and represent the Region within the National Risk Team

**What you need to be successful**:

- Degree in OH&S or associated qualifications
- 5 years experience in OH&S
- Training and Auditing qualifications and experience
- Self-Insurance Experience
- Workplace Rehabilitation qualifications and experience
- Concrete industry experience (preferred)
- Quarrying/Mining experience (preferred)
- Heavy Industry experience
