Our client, a large government agency based in Canberra CBD, is looking for detail-oriented and organized professionals to join their team as Ministerial Officers on an initial fixed-term contract.

The Ministerial Officer role offers a comprehensive insight into the functions of the department, while providing the opportunity to build networks with key stakeholders.

It also allows you to see firsthand how the department collaborates with the Ministers within the portfolio.

The roles involves high-level administrative and coordination support to ministerial offices, executive teams, and broader departmental functions.
- Have a keen eye for detail and take pride in delivering high-quality work.
- Are comfortable liaising with staff across the department and portfolio agencies.
- Have an interest in the workings of government or Parliament.
- Are able to communicate clearly, presenting messages in a concise and effective manner.
- Have excellent administrative skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Are outcomes-driven and accountable, with a strong focus on producing high-quality results.
- Can build productive working relationships by understanding the needs of colleagues and stakeholders.
- Show good judgment and common sense in responding to day-to-day problems and operational changes.
- Act with integrity and professionalism in all aspects of their work.
- Motivated and highly organized.
- Possesses strong communication skills.
- Can adapt quickly to changing requirements and priorities.
- Team-oriented, but also capable of working independently.
- Possess a valid Australian Driver's Licence.

**Please note this position requires a Baseline Clearance.
