About The Role
A fantastic new leadership opportunity has become available for a Group Manager - Drill and Blast at Whitehaven Coal. This role will report directly to our General Manager - Technical Services.

Bring your expertise into this position and work across all WHC sites and engage with multiple senior stakeholders to support our mine sites. This role can be based in either our Newcastle or Brisbane office’s with regular site travel required throughout NSW and QLD.

What You’ll Do
- Provide governance and expert advice across all WHC sites as needed
- Provide expert advice to WHC on general Drill and Blast matters
- Maintain a safe operation ensuring statutory compliance whilst demonstrating visible safety leadership
- Provide high level inhouse expert technical support
- Monitor industry trends
- Provide expert Drill and Blast advice across all WHC Sites
- Take ownership for all large supply contracts in NSW and QLD

About You
- Demonstrated mining experience including being a technical expert in Drill and blast field
- Degree qualified
- Senior leadership skills
- Experience managing large explosives contracts
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
