**Let’s talk about the Job**

This is an exciting opportunity to lead critical governance functions for the Department Customer Service.

You will have exposure to governance committees and engage with agencies and Senior Executives from across the cluster.

You will lead a great team of people who provide high quality services to our governance stakeholders, including secretariat and board appointment services and ensure relevant policies and guidelines are complied with.

A key focus for this role is working closely with the Audit and Risk Committees and Chairs to craft effective agendas, deliver quality board papers that inform advice and support decision making, and ensure Treasury requirements are met on time and with an understanding of our internal customers.

In addition, a passion for continuous improvement and innovation will be highly regarded. There is opportunity to streamline processes, map customer journeys, and develop lean and plain English approaches that remain compliant and provide a value add to the governance posture of the Department.

You will be someone with collaboration as a core value, who enjoys being a people leader and coaching and developing the team to achieve individual and shared goals.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and attention to detail
- Strong time management skills and a good track record for delivering on deadlines
- Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and concurrent tasks/projects while ensuring confidentiality and work is delivered to a high standard
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of NSW public sector
