As our **Data Governance Manager** reporting to the General Manager IT Strategic Planning, Governance & Innovation, you will will be responsible for the development of best practice data governance and information management policies and procedures, leading improvements to Data Governance tooling to mature the enterprise data governance and data quality capabilities. This is a fantastic opportunity where you will be instrument in the development and implementation of a TSEG Data Governance Framework - ensuring sustainable data management practices leading to well-defined, consistent and high quality data that aligns to our purpose.

**A few of your responsibilities**
- Incubate Data Governance processes, strategy and roadmap and drive the uplift of data management process maturity and adoption across the Group
- Provide relevant training and support to uplift the data management awareness across data users, stewards and owners in Group Data Management to improve data quality measurement and monitoring capabilities
- Define and embed best of breed data governance principles, policies, and standards, maintaining enthusiasm throughout the business
- Actively work with technical teams to support their data management and data governance activities, including identifying and documenting CDE, Data flow processes, datasets and monitor data quality

**What we are looking for**
- Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Data Management or equivalent
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in the appropriate field
- Solid Business process management skills
- Good understanding of data risks and experience implementing Australian privacy principles.
- Experience in developing and maintaining best practice processes and data solutions
- Proven experience in building and maintaining strong collaborative working relationships
- A demonstrated history of working in enterprise-wide data governance programs**.**

You are a seasoned leader with exceptional stakeholder management skills, able to work with cross functional operations teams to identify common pain-points, areas of data improvement and validate proposed solutions.
