**THE OPPORTUNITY**

Working as part of the Medical & Like team, this exciting role requires a motivated self-starter to provide technical support and advice to Case Managers.

You will use your previous experience as a Case Manager/Senior Case Manager or Technical Specialist to coach team members and provide strategic advice in accordance with Victorian workers compensation law and WorkSafe Victoria guidelines.

This is a **part time, 12 month secondment** role based in the **Melbourne CBD Office**, with flexibility to **work from home.**

**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Providing technical support to claims teams about the claims management process in line with Victorian workers compensation law and WorkSafe Victoria guidelines
- Undertake ongoing Medical & Like entitlement reviews in accordance with the Act and WorkSafe guidelines
- Ensure decisions are sound and in line with quality decision making guidelines
- In conjunction with the Team Leader identify, develop and implement effective strategies to support the achievement of key service, performance and compliance measures
- Continuous improvement
- reviewing and providing feedback about current claims management practices and procedures ensuring emerging trends are identified and managed
- Building and maintaining strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Assisting with organisational compliance with legal, governance and WorkSafe Victoria agent requirements.

**ABOUT YOU**
- Strong understanding of the technical aspect in claims management within the Victorian workers compensation scheme
- 3+ years’ experience in a Case Manager role in workers compensation claims is preferred but not essential
- Experience in managing relationships and competing stakeholder priorities
- Superior time management and negotiating skills
- Exceptional problem solving and strategic thinking skills
- Experience in coaching and supporting others
