The opportunity

An exciting opportunity for a passionate individual to drive the work of QBE’s Australia Pacific Foundation, as QBE Foundation Manager.

The QBE Foundation works across QBE’s global operations in 27 countries and is committed to creating strong, resilient and inclusive communities. We work in partnership with community organisations, and through other key programs of work, such as the QBE Foundation local grants program.

You will be responsible for the leading the development and delivery of the AUSPAC QBE Foundation plan in line with the Global QBE Foundation strategy by developing, implementing and managing QBE Foundation partnerships, programs, initiatives and events in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific.

You will report into the Head of Social Impact and work closely with QBE’s Sustainability team. Your role will include, but not be limited to:
- Leading the delivery of the QBE Foundation AUSPAC local grants program and the AUSPAC’s QBE AcceliCITY program- Driving the uptake of employee engagement and social impact initiatives by QBE’s employees through the integration of the new employee engagement platform and leveraging of Foundation partnerships- Measuring and reporting the social impact of QBE Foundation partnerships and programs, while also continuously improving on measurement processes- Driving the delivery of the QBE Foundation local grants program in Australia Pacific- Manage internal and external communications for all QBE Foundation initiatives- Partner with business areas to seek opportunities to demonstrate social impact- Manage QBE Foundation Committee, engaging regional representatives to execute strategic programs and initiatives- Manage and build strong community partnerships for long term sustainable impact- Work with regional foundation managers on global projects including, but not limited to, QBE Global Disaster Relief and Resilience Partnerships, AcceliCITY Resilience Challenge, QGiving- Manage risk and streamline processes to ensure proper due diligence and assessment process is followed through all Grant and partnership review and assessment

Your story so far

We’re looking for someone who is experienced in social impact and able to take a strategic approach to working with our community and business partners. This may mean coming from a corporate philanthropy background, or from working in the not-for-profit sector with corporate partners. You should be able to build strong relationships and collaborate with and influence a broad range of stakeholders. You will need to have strong attention to detail and project management capability.
