Senior strategy and development role reporting to the CEO
- Develop the distribution strategy and growth plan in commercial tourism

Our client is the only Australian owned and managed national tourism marketplace, playing a vital part in the domestic and international exposure of the many incredible tourism experiences that Australia has to offer. Their national platform for digital tourism content delivery provides insights and analysis on 1000’s of tourism businesses. This platform provides comprehensive, centralised, and cost-effective online visibility, as the last mile of digital marketing, with an acute focus on optimising lead generation that converts to increase revenue.

As an integral part of the Executive Leadership Team, this role reports directly to the CEO, and will be responsible for developing and implementing the end-to-end distribution strategy for the business. The role includes high-level stakeholder engagement, business development planning, associated contract negotiation and ongoing collaboration on conversion rate optimisation.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to the right person, to reshape the distribution strategy from scratch, focusing on international and commercial partnerships. This role will really suit someone who works collaboratively, but it also enables them to create their own strategy and execution plans, clearly aligned to the broader business objectives.

Ideally you will have a background in International and Domestic distribution in the Travel and Tourism sector; technical API knowledge and support for customers; significant management experience; excellent written and verbal communication; stakeholder relationship management skills and be well versed in growing networks and revenue streams.

Your commercial acumen and solid understanding on how the tourism industry works will allow you to work in an influential capacity with large Tourism bodies and the broader commercial sector here and abroad.
