The Successful General Manager, Queensland Shared Services

You will have a record of success as a leader in a large and complex organisation with outstanding leadership ability. You will have extensive experience across the public, private and/or not for profit sector and you will have a strong background in strategy and policy implementation, service delivery, costing and commercial pricing strategies and client service and relationship management.

You will have a proven track record as an agent of change in challenging environments and in fostering a confident and capable workforce.

As an Executive you will work towards a system of world class service delivery and public sector management.

As a senior executive leader your performance will be assessed according to four key accountability perspectives: financial, stakeholder and outcome, internal business, and learning and growth. As a leader in Queensland Government, you will display outstanding judgement, high-level integrity, strong agility to adapt to a constantly changing environment, a strong achievement orientation, and excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Key Accountabilities

**As the GM QSS you will**:

- Lead the delivery of Queensland Shared Services within a customer centric framework to ensure that services delivered are high quality, effective, efficient, and reliable.
- Lead the development and delivery of a strategic investment program that drives continuous improvement in the range, quality and value for money of the QSS service offerings.
- Provide expert advice to the Minister, Director-General, Chief Customer and Digital Officer, Agency Senior Executives and the Digital Economy Leaders Sub-Group on issues relating to the planning and efficient delivery of shared services, including the modernisation and implementation of contemporary digital government services.
- Ensure the development of strong relationships with key customer agencies and stakeholders, including Ministers, Director's-General, central agencies, community groups, relevant industry groups, professional bodies, unions and other Government agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for Queensland government and community.
- Lead the continuous transformation of shared services in the Queensland government, by ensuring organisational development, improvement in performance and customer satisfaction, as well as effective working relationships across the sector in order to successfully deliver cross-Government initiatives.
- Ensure that there is a robust customer relationship model throughout all levels of Queensland Shared Services that delivers excellent customer outcomes and includes the appropriate governance and performance monitoring of the units within the division, in line with government priorities.
- Drive service delivery transformation, innovation and improvement initiatives to ensure customer-centric digital transformation and service reform for Queensland Government.
