**About the Role**

**Position Outcomes**

Communications and Engagement Lead will
- Identify strategic challenges and opportunities within the bus and school bus reform portfolio and lead the development and delivery of stakeholder communications and engagement activities, programs, and strategies in those areas.
- Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to lead the direction of engagement activities across projects and collaborate on opportunities for improvement.
- Lead the development and delivery of strategic engagement plans for key projects in the delivery of the DTP engagement strategy for bus reform initiatives and projects.
- Ensure communications and engagement plans are supported by well written and appropriately selected collateral, such as EDMs and facts sheets and other materials support engagement activities. This includes drafting Q&As, and project related updates for all relevant communication channels.
- Provide expert advice to internal stakeholders to guide external engagement, build positive relationships and develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Proactively lead research and analysis activities to understand and respond to critical issues across strategic areas including bus planning and reform to achieve positive project and program objectives and to enhance DTP’s external reputation.
- Work collaboratively across the Communications, Operations and Experiences group for coordinated, consistent and collegiate approaches to the work.
- Prepare reports and briefs for consideration by key stakeholders on critical issues and updates to achieve positive project and program objectives and to enhance DTP external reputation.

**Qualifications and Experience**

**Desirable**
- Tertiary qualification in communications but qualifications from other disciplines considered.
- Driver’s license
