**About the Business Unit**:
The Community and Consumer Engagement branch supports Consumer Affairs Victoria and the broader Regulatory and Dispute Services, playing a central role in driving a coordinated approach to community and consumer engagement. This includes building staff capability and embedding good stakeholder engagement practices to support work as an effective regulator. The team is central to engagement initiatives and includes forums and a focus on high risk, high priority communities to ensure they are considered and supported in our functions and services.
**About the Role**:
Reporting to the General Manager, Community and Consumer Engagement, the role forms part of a small community engagement team. The Aboriginal Community Engagement Lead, plays a central role in understanding, developing, and maintaining effective relationships with Aboriginal communities in Victoria while responding to priority needs. It also supports staff to understand diverse needs and recognise and engage with Aboriginal communities, meeting their needs effectively.

- Expert knowledge and understanding of issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islanders
- Demonstrated ability to work closely with and appreciate intersectionality and actively seek to understand and effectively address issues and views of stakeholders holding competing priorities and views
