**About the Role**

This role will work within a fast-paced Communications and Engagement team to deliver and implement strategies across the Activity Centres Program, a key initiative of Victoria’s Housing Statement. Flexibility across content areas allows the team to surge and flex to the key priority areas of the Department and Ministers.

**Position Outcomes**
The Communications and Engagement Officer is instrumental in creating high-quality communication materials such as communications plans, key messages, consultation guides, Ministerial briefs, event packs, and social posts to support government activities. They liaise with stakeholders to develop, implement, and evaluate communications strategies and plans in partnership with the Communications and Engagement Lead.

The officer is adept at identifying emerging complex or highly sensitive issues, risks, and trends that could impact the successful achievement of objectives, and they work on developing innovative solutions and options. They maintain efficient and compliant records and briefings for approval by senior stakeholders.

- Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in fields related to communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, or similar.
