**The Role**:
Are you a senior Communications and Engagement specialist, with the ability to influence high level stakeholders, but also be hands on and deliver on your recommendations?

We are seeking an experienced Communications and Engagement Manager to undertake a rare two year fixed term contract with this state government client.

Sitting in the Strategic Communications Team, this role will lead internal and external communications activities to support this major change program. This involves driving engagement and awareness with stakeholders and providing strategic communications advice to the project team leadership. Your experience in transformation - particularly in the digital space - will allow you to excel in this role, working to provide a seamless online experience for all users.

**VPS6 | 2 Year Fixed Term**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead, develop and implement the Service Transformation communications and engagement plan, with a strong focus on stakeholders, both internal and external, executives and Ministers
- Lead, develop and manage Service Transformation communications initiatives, and undertake oversight of the design processes associated with Service Transformation programs and projects to achieve organisational objectives within defined parameters
- Develop and foster day-to-day communications and working relationships with the Service Transformation program teams to ensure a coordinated, integrated and consistent approach to stakeholders relations and communications matters are undertaken
- Effectively collaborate and facilitate information - strategic and operational, sharing across teams and the business to ensure timely, well-tailored and engaging communications
- Provide authoritative and strategic communications advice and report on progress and impact to the project leadership
- Prepare supporting written and visual content across internal channels and formats i.e. images, video, graphics etc, with great care to detail
- Contribute to external content development for social media and EDM's, including visual content
- Ensure content meets plain language editorial requirements, accessibility standards, and branding and style guides

**About You**:

- Demonstrated experience leading communications across a diverse group of stakeholders for a major change or transformative program of works
- Demonstrated experience working in transformation projects, engaging with high level stakeholders
- Strong expertise in writing, editing and content development skills, including visual and digital, across multiple platforms and formats
- Experience drafting and implementing communication and engagement strategies and supporting artefacts
- A proactive, flexible, and resilient approach to changing priorities
- High level stakeholder management, facilitation, and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience using specialised tools and software including MailChimp, Canva, Trello, Microsoft suite including SharePoint and Teams
- A tertiary qualification in communications, information management or a related discipline is preferable.
