**About the Role**
The Scientific Officer Air Monitoring is accountable to the Senior Scientific Officer (Air Quality) and contributes to the development and implementation of the program to monitor air quality in South Australia. This includes the operation and maintenance of monitoring equipment, compilation of data into an air quality database, use of standard data validation and data management techniques and reporting of findings to achieve EPA strategic goals.

The organisation works to protect, restore and improve the environment through the risk-based regulation of pollution, waste, noise and radiation. The EPA works closely with industry, the community and government to protect the unique natural environment while supporting economic growth and improving wellbeing. The EPA is responsible for the administration of the _Environment Protection Act 1993_ (EP Act) and the _Radiation Protection and Control Act 2021_ (RPC Act) and also exercises responsibilities under other South Australian planning and environmental legislation.

**Essential Qualifications**
- Degree in Engineering or other appropriate discipline, with mechanical, electronic and chemistry components relevant to air quality instrumentation

**Remuneration**
PO1 ($68,478- $83,594 per annum) + 12% super added to your choice of super fund.
