**About the role**

In this role, you will lead the Ampol Group's finance data strategy to support the organisation’s goals of improving operational efficiency, strengthening data governance, and enabling informed, data-driven decision-making.

You will oversee the integration of systems, streamlining the data value supply chain, defining data ownership and responsibilities, and enhancing reporting tools, access controls, and training to improve data management.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Strategic Planning & Alignment**:Develop a comprehensive and future-proof finance data strategy that aligns with both business and financial objectives.
- **Data Architecture & Integration**:Establish a consistent data structure across financial domains to support reporting and analytics.
- **Change Management & Capability Building**: Lead training and awareness programs to boost data literacy and adoption of new practices.
- **Governance, Compliance & Security**: Establish and enforce a robust finance data governance framework
- **Cross-functional Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement**: Translate business needs into data strategies and execution plans.
- **Lead cross-functional teams in the execution of system upgrades**

**About you**

You will be an individual with exceptional finance, data and systems knowledge. You will be solutions focused with the ability to formulate strategy to drive delivery and outcomes.

**Key skills and experience**
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, accounting, data science, information technology, or related fields
- Extensive experience in a large, publicly listed company
- Experience in leading data management initiatives, especially in finance
- Experience in leading teams or projects, especially in large-scale or multi-departmental projects
- Experience collaborating with technology teams and external consultants, to design and implement integrated data solutions.
- Experience in setting strategic direction for big scale projects
