We are currently recruiting a new role as a HR Service Desk Team Leader to support the business by responding to specific HR and Payroll related queries with view to close out query on first contact. To provide support to Service Delivery and Payroll by managing queries in a timely manner. Other functions of this role will include basic processing of data, which may include, not limited to, updating of manual entries in Chris21 such as address, bank account details, where Workday is not able to provide. As the successful incumbent, you will lead a team of Service Desk Analysts.
Job Location: Currently in Norwest, relocating to Macquarie Park in 2025.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures that information is correct by entering, checking and maintaining the data in the system and in staff and other electronic files.- Contributes to an exceptional level of internal customer service by providing timely responses to enquiries / requests for information by producing reports and/or returning calls.- Contributes to an understanding and respectful work environment and work practices, by valuing all people and giving rightful consideration of people’s cultural backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as Australia’s first people.- Contribute to the safety culture by keeping the workplace safe, clean and tidy, complying always with safe work practices, participating in workplace consultation activities, actively participating in safety activities, including hazard and incident reporting as prescribed in the WHSIMS.- Lead, motivate, and coach a team of HR Service Desk Analysts.- Delegate tasks and ensure workload is balanced.- Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback for development.- Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.- Develop and implement strategies to continuously improve service quality and efficiency.- Monitor key metrics (e.g., call resolution time, customer satisfaction) and take corrective action as needed
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).- Minimum of 5years of experience in HR or a related field.- Proven experience in leading and coaching a team.- In-depth knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.- Proficiency in HR information systems (e.g., HRIS).
Desired Skills:
- Experience in a Service Desk environment.- Project management experience.- Training and development experience
