About us:
Zig Zag Railway (ZZR) is a tourist railway located near the town of Lithgow in NSW (approximately 90 minutes from western Sydney). We have recently reopened to the public after several years of bushfire, flood, and COVID - and we couldn’t be happier about it

The Governance of the ZZR is a not for profit co-operative managed by a Board of Directors and supported by managers for the various functional areas. Most workers at the railway are volunteers who donate their time and skills to maintain and operate the railway.

About the opportunity:
We are currently seeking an experienced Administrative/Executive Assistant to join our small team. This position is best suited to someone who has a strong administrative background and who also has a passion for heritage rail and for delivering an exceptional and memorable experience to our visitors.

The Executive Assistant will support the Chief Executive and the Board Chair, as well as other members of the team, to ensure all administrative duties are completed in a timely, accurate and efficient manner.

The ideal person for this role is someone with a passion for working across multiple projects, who has an eye for detail, has excellent communication skills and has experience working with the MS Office suite of products. In the future, the opportunity may exist for this position to take on more responsibilities in the areas of events management and tourism services / marketing.
