As Performance Coach, you’ll be responsible for supporting Sports Engagement activity including high performance programs, partnerships, industry engagement, community engagement and sporting recruitment activity.

The role is primarily responsible for leading, managing and delivering sporting strength and conditioning and performance related services for Griffith Sports College student-athletes and Griffith’s performance programs. The position will assist the Director of our Griffith Sports College with the delivery of the Sports Strategy (including the Women in Sport Strategy). The position is accountable for creating an environment that provides both an innovative and attractive option for Griffith athletes to excel in their sporting careers, while promoting the importance of study/sport balance tailored to the individual athlete.

The position also collaborates with both internal and external university stakeholders and provides opportunities to collaborate with external high-performance programs and sporting bodies.

**About you**
The occupant of this position will hold relevant tertiary qualifications or an equivalent combination of relevant skills, knowledge and experience. As a minimum, ASCA or ESSA accreditation is required.

You will also have:

- Experience leading and managing high-performance sports programs, specifically in strength and conditioning. This includes designing and delivering training programs aimed at enhancing athletic performance.
- Experience in working with athletes, helping them balance their academic and sporting careers while focusing on long-term athletic development.
- Experience in engaging with the local community, external sporting bodies, and other stakeholders to promote sports programs and recruit athletes.

This is a continuing, full time position primarily based at Griffith University Gold Coast. As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations.

Griffith University’s campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.

**Salary Range**
The full time equivalent base salary range will be $110,000 - $115,000 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $128,700 - $134,550 per annum.
