Our client is an established industrial manufacturing business in Melbourne's eastern suburbs, operating in the B2B space across a range of sectors including defence and infrastructure. With demonstrable high growth in recent years and ongoing expansion opportunities, this business is primed to enter the next phase of success.
**About the role**
Reporting into the Head of Operations, the Production Supervisor will oversee a team of 8-10 people in a mechanical machining and assembly environment. Core focus areas for this role will include:
- Driving DIFOT and maintaining day-to-day production targets
- Ensuring the highest quality of work in line with the internal Quality Management System
- Fostering a zero-harm environment for workplace health and safety
- Training and development of existing and new production team members
**What we are looking for**
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership/supervisory role, circa 2-5 years
- Tertiary qualifications within a mechanical field will be advantageous
- Industry backgrounds in industrial manufacturing, building materials, bespoke product or FMCG
- Strong people skills, able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation both upwards and downwards
