We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Technical Officer - Stormwater to join our Infrastructure and Natural Assets Group. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the management of stormwater infrastructure and asset maintenance while working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Investigating and resolving customer issues related to stormwater, waterways, and flooding.
- Contributing to the development and management of stormwater asset maintenance plans.
- Providing technical advice to internal teams and clients.
- Liaising with stakeholders on engineering and asset management matters.
- Drafting technical reports and responding to customer inquiries.
- Supporting the team during peak workloads and assisting with budget planning.
**About you**:
- Experienced in working with infrastructure and asset management, with a solid understanding of how things work in local government.
- Strong in communication, with excellent customer service skills, and comfortable working with a range of stakeholders.
- Tech-savvy, with the ability to use digital tools for reporting and collaboration.
- Well-organised, able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with great attention to detail.
- A team player with a proactive attitude, always looking for ways to improve processes and contribute to team success.
- A holder of a current driver’s license and a Tasmanian White Card (or the ability to obtain one).
**What we offer you**:
- Ongoing, full-time (37.5 hours per week)
- Base salary between $75,071.65 and $86,731.41 will be offered (dependent on skills and experience) + 12% superannuation
- 19-day month
