Leading public health service are seeking an experienced procurement and supply chain leader.
**Your new company**

Our client are a leading health service located in the inner suburbs who employ more than 7,000 staff across 18 sites throughout Melbourne.

They provide a broad spectrum of medical and social services to the community and are part of one of Australia's largest non-for profit networks.

Due to the long term incumbent planning to retire in the next few months, an opportunity has arisen for a driven GM of Procurement and Logistics to join the organisation and lead a large team through a time of transformational change.

**Your new role**

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will have direct oversight over all procurement, purchasing, supply chain and logistics activity locally, leading a team of 14 direct reports split across a variety of roles, and 8 indirect reports.

You will be responsible for providing day to day leadership, innovation and direction to the Procurement and Logistics Department - driving strategic direction and increasing operational efficiency, and management of a spend approaching $500m annually, mainly from an operational supply chain perspective.

You'll be a key stakeholder during a time of major systems and process change, with the organisation having recently implemented a new ERP system which will be a core focus of the role over the first 12-18 months.

Roles and responsibilities include:

- Implementing both local and group procurement strategy to drive best pricing and supply advantages
- Managing the organisations relationship with HealthShare Victoria to best leverage state buying power in conjunction with independent agreements
- Lead the organisation through ERP and broader systems and process change, as it pertains to Procurement and Logistics - Dynamics 365 has recently been implemented
- Leadership in supply chain best practice, while maintaining the appropriate level of compliance
- Ensuring operational and strategic staff under management are empowered to succeed in their roles

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be successful in this role, you'll be a Procurement and/or Logistics leader with demonstrated experience leading large operational teams within fast paced, time sensitive, highly governed environments with a diverse mix of stakeholders.

Having health sector experience, experience leading supply chain functions through ERP implementation and change and/or exposure to Dynamics 365 would be an advantage. Relevant qualifications in procurement, commerce or supply chain management will also be highly regarded.
