**About the Role**

The Transition Officer will work collaboratively across the Transition Team, building relationships to further the project’s objectives. This position requires critical thinking, flexibility and adaptability to readily adjust to changing priorities, as well as strong interpersonal skills to understand the drivers behind the contract transition and communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. Using their strong project support and communication skills, this position will effectively balance competing demands and provide project support including undertaking research, producing project reports, developing agendas, minutes, presentations, research papers and other tasks as required. This position will contribute to the ongoing monitoring of project outcomes and the successful delivery of the MR4 /MR5 contract transition.
This role may have the option to be extended to include the MR5 Train Transition.

**Position Outcomes / Accountabilities**
- Managed all aspects of assigned tasks under limited direction, ensuring project objectives are met.
- Monitored and reported on the progress of assigned tasks to ensure service delivery targets and

key milestones are achieved in accordance with the approved Project Plan.- Supported the procurement of external service providers, including claims administration.
- Applied project management methodology to maintain project artefacts in relation to governance,

budget, scope, schedule, risks and issues, communication and stakeholders.- Prepared reports, including analysis papers, briefing notes, project proposals, correspondence and

submissions for a range of stakeholders.- Prepared business process mapping, procedure documentation, framework manuals.
- Understand complex matrix relationship and responsibilities model and documented RACI.
- Ensured that external and internal environmental factors and relevant legislation, policies and

protocols have been considered in developing and implementing projects.- Developed and maintained positive working relationships, ongoing communication, consultation

and successful negotiations with key personnel across the project.

**Qualifications and Experience**

**Mandatory**
- Demonstrated project support/ administration experience relevant to commercial projects in a government setting

**Desirable**
- A relevant tertiary degree in project or business management or related discipline would be well regarded.
