Established on 1 January 2023, our work spans numerous portfolios, supporting departmental ministers and operating across metropolitan, regional and international offices. We oversee various public entities, including public corporations, regulatory authorities and specialist boards.
**Manager, Industry Transition**
- _ Salary: $138,631 - $185,518 (Plus Superannuation)_
- _ Fixed term role: 18 months_
- _ Usual hours of work: Full time (flexibility may be available)_
- _ Usual work location: 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne (flexibility may be available)_

**The Role**
- The Manager, Industry Transition, is responsible for delivering industry transition programs, including associated program design and engagement. The role involves providing direct support to businesses who are experiencing challenges due to evolving trading conditions, or changes to regulations which necessitate industry transition.
- The responsibilities of the Manager, Industry Transition will include:

- Managing, developing and implementing the industry development programs, including industry analysis, program design and delivery.
- Providing strong, collaborative and adaptable leadership, including coaching and mentoring, to foster a high-performance and collaborative culture that delivers outcomes across the team.

**The Team**
- The position of Manager, Industry Transition forms a part of the Industry Development, Construction, Manufacturing and Talent Branch within the Industry, Trade and Investment group.
- The Industry, Trade and Investment (ITI) Group works closely with businesses locally and globally to grow Victorian jobs, drive innovation and increase Victoria's international competitiveness. ITI champions Victoria as a destination of choice for trade and international investment, international education and innovation. IDCMT is responsible for delivery of the Victorian Government's industry development agenda. The branch develops policies and delivers programs that drive sustainable economic growth and workforce inclusion, leading to higher living standards for all Victorians.

**About You**
- Proven expertise in leading and delivering industry development or transition programs with a high-level of understanding of the government's economic and industry development focus and a demonstrated understanding of the levers and drivers in Government and industry.
- Experienced in building strategic relationships and proven ability to negotiate, influence and gain consensus at senior levels within both the private and public sectors, and a demonstrated expertise in developing and managing outcome focussed, complex projects that traverse multiple stakeholders and priorities.
- Highly developed analytical and conceptual skills, including demonstrated ability to develop strategies and frameworks, quickly assimilate new concepts and information, and deliver positive and innovative solutions to complex issues, including industry transitions.
