**The Role**:
My client is a family owned company that supply products within the food industry throughout Australian and international markets. They are a great success story.

**Situated just West of Melbourne CBD, you will be working Full Time Hours Monday-Friday on a 12 month contract, with the view to go permanent.**

Reporting to the Technical Manager, your responsibilities will include:

- Assisting with in-house microbiological testing
- Support and enable all food safety, quality & lab programs to ensure standards are maintained and never compromised
- Leading sample preparation, registration, and identification for both internal and external testing programs.
- Maintaining GLP throughout involvement in microbiological testing internally.
- Reviewing and creating laboratory forms and procedures to ensure effective document control.
- Ensuring corrective actions are implemented to resolve gaps identified during GLP audits.
- Conduct internal assessments such as testing raw materials, finished products, samples and ensuring clearances are effectively monitored.
- Driving continuous Improvement of QA processes in associated workstreams.

**Your Background**:

- Tertiary qualifications in Food Science or Microbiology
- 2 Years Prior experience in FMCG environment, preferably food
- Excellent communication, attention to detail, problem-solving and time management skills
