Embark on a compelling journey as a proactive and dynamic Quality Assurance Coordinator at our Laverton facility, where innovation and excellence define our commitment to quality. Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, you will assume a pivotal role in managing the laboratory team and functions, driving continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance Laboratory performance while ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety protocols.

**Please note: This is a 12-month fixed term opportunity.**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Strategise, supervise, and coordinate resources for laboratory functions, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance Laboratory performance, including communication, 5S, and structured improvement.
- Manage Quality Assurance and Food Safety programs, including GLP, quality specification management, and calibration of laboratory instruments.
- Oversee training of personnel in Quality, Hygiene, and GLP responsibilities.
- Control stock take, purchasing, suppliers, and budget for site and lab consumables.
- Maintain ISO and AGPRM requirements for the laboratories and coordinate internal audits.
- Responsible for maintaining all process and stability within the laboratory function and for the sensory program.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, and lead the problem solving for equipment break down.

**About You**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Qualifications in Continuous Improvement Systems (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) are advantageous.
- 3-4 years experience in a laboratory or Manufacturing environment, with expertise in equipment Management, preferably within FMCG.
- Advanced technical skills and experience in HPLC and GC
- Proficiency in database systems, including SAP.
- A strategic mind versed in SPC or similar quality capability methodologies, ready to elevate our processes.
- Advanced data analysis and computer skills, including Office package
- You excel in building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration and driving collective success.
- You have a proven track record in driving and managing change initiatives, guiding teams through transitions with resilience and adaptability.
- You have a desire to lead and develop teams to achieve their full potential, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
