**About the Role**:
The Professional Experience Liaison plays a key role in supporting the coordination and administration of student placements in early childhood education and school settings. The Liaison assists in the day-to-day operations of WIL, maintaining communication and documentation with students, academic staff, and placement providers to ensure a smooth and efficient experience for all stakeholders.
**Duties**:
- Supports the Student Practical Placement Coordinator in identifying and confirming placement opportunities in schools and early childhood education settings.
- Act as the primary point of contact for students regarding placement queries, requirements, and documentation.
- Maintain accurate placement records, ensuring compliance with institute and accreditation standards.
- Liaise with academic staff, placement providers, and professional associations to support the administration of WIL programs.
- Provide administrative support in developing, reviewing, and updating placement-related documentation and agreements.
- Support students in meeting compliance requirements, including working with children checks and mandatory training.
- Assist in the tracking and reporting of student progress, engagement, and satisfaction with WIL experiences.
- Contribute to the development of new placement opportunities by supporting relationship-building with schools and early childhood education providers.
- Assist in organising student placement briefings, training sessions, and debriefing activities.
- Ensure timely communication with students and host organisations regarding placement logistics and expectations.
- Travel to other Melbourne Polytechnic campuses and placement sites as required.

**Skills and Experience Required**:
- Post secondary qualifications and/or significant experience in a relevant educational setting.
- Demonstrated broad knowledge of the field of Early Years Education, a current working knowledge of the early childhood sector and the Victorian school system.
- Capacity to build and manage relationships and liaise effectively with the early years education professions and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Highly developed project management, organisational and administrative skills with a high level of information literacy, expertise in the Microsoft suite, and experience in the use of InPlace placement management platform.
- Commitment to providing excellent service to students, employers and staff.
- Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure.
- Excellent skills in oral and written communication.
- An understanding of issues affecting professional practice including familiarity with the regulatory environment for teacher registration and the impact of changing government policy.
