We are seeking a dedicated Wellness, Health and Safety Advisor with experience in injury management to join our team in Brisbane. In this role, you will play a crucial part in promoting a safe and healthy work environment for our employees, students, contractors and visitors.
- Develop, implement, and monitor workplace health, safety, and wellness programs in compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices.
- Conduct risk assessments, identify potential hazards, and recommend appropriate control measures to mitigate risks.
- Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and injuries, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Manage injury cases, coordinate return-to-work programs, and facilitate effective communication between employees, management, and healthcare providers.
- Provide training and education to employees on health, safety, and wellness topics, promoting a culture of safety awareness.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on health and safety metrics, incidents, and program effectiveness.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Occupational Health and Safety, Public Health, or related discipline).
- Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation and best practices.
- Solid experience in injury management and return-to-work programs.
- Experience in developing and implementing health and safety programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in data analysis and report writing.
- Working knowledge of occupational health and safety standards (e.g., OHSAS 18001, ISO 45001) is desirable.
- Knowledge of ergonomics and workplace risk assessment is desirable.
- Familiarity with relevant software (e.g., safety management systems, incident reporting tools) is preferable.
