Two Providores is an Australian artisan produce and dry-store essentials food distributor. Based in Marrickville, we deliver premium local produce to our food service and retail customers across NSW. We are a growing business that rewards employees for delivering customer care that goes beyond the everyday.

This valued position provides a high level of timely, knowledgeable, and accurate customer care: you must be a team player with an enthusiastic approach and a strong sense of empathy. Ideally, you’re willing to think outside the box to implement strategies that facilitate memorable customer interactions that will have our customers talking for all the right reasons.

In Customer Service you will.
- Be answering the phone and greeting customers who pick up at the warehouse with attentive, well-informed, and helpful service.
- Need to understand our warehouse operations, distribution, and logistics and, ideally, have up to date knowledge of food safety and HACCP principles.
- Advise customers on availability of products and liaising with the operations staff to propose substitutes where necessary
- Greet customers and process invoices and payments for collection
- Play an active part in dispute resolution in relation to product returns and responding to all sorts of questions and issues arising from both customers and colleagues in a friendly and professional manner
- Update and manage our customer database - setting up new accounts, and recording service information for existing customers
- Undertake regular product training to ensure accurate information is provided to our customers

What we need from you.
- A minimum two years’ experience in a similar role - customer service in a food environment (encompassing order entry, inventory management and logistics)
- A love of good Australian food, and the ability to cross-sell
- A pragmatic, can-do approach to all customer requests. A great rapport with customers on the phone (a good sense of humour helps too)
- To be available for shift work between 6am - 10pm, Sunday to Friday
- Want to make a difference in a growing company in a positive and energetic way
