**Essential Requirements**:

- **Minimum 1-2 years’ experience working in a general medical practice.**:

- **Proficiency with Best Practice software is mandatory.**:

- Demonstrated ability to manage a busy front desk with professionalism, accuracy, and care.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide a warm, courteous, and professional first point of contact for patients and healthcare providers.
- Greet and assist patients, process Medicare and DVA billing, and handle EFTPOS transactions.
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the appointment book to optimise doctors' availability.
- Inform patients of practice policies regarding appointments and billing.
- Handle patient queries and concerns with sensitivity and discretion.
- Reconcile daily payments and perform end-of-day balancing.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in reception, treatment rooms, waiting areas, and staff areas.
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals and respond appropriately to emergency situations.
- Perform electronic claiming, reconciliation, and follow-up of outstanding accounts.
- Open and distribute mail, and assist with general administration tasks as needed.
- Adhere to infection control and cold chain management procedures.
- Contribute to accreditation and quality improvement processes.
- Secure the premises at the end of each shift.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
