A fantastic opportunity at nbn, Australia’s largest infrastructure project, as the Transformation Manager, Fixed Assets, reporting to the Executive Manager Financial Control and Accounting Services, where you will join the Enterprise Services Team, a key pillar within the Finance business unit.

A bit about your role

The Transformation Manager, Fixed Assets role is primarily responsible for addressing and improving the quality of data contained within the Fixed Asset Register, utilising technical and people skills to build strong working relationships both across Finance & the wider business, and taking a leadership role as the conduit between Finance and business.

The role will establish & lead meetings with key business stakeholders to develop strong relationships and to be the conduit between the operational business and the Fixed Asset team. You will understand the existing capitalisation processes and drive transformational improvements in ensuring underlying fixed asset data is relevant, and at an appropriate level of detail to allow changes to be implemented in the Fixed Asset Register. You will understand, assess and develop detailed action plans arising from key findings from external review report and execute on planned initiatives within agreed timeframes.

The role will identify key finance process improvements and work with the business, to deliver on efficient and effective processes with appropriate governance to develop clear alignment of roles and responsibilities and will support the wider fixed asset team in improving and standardising processes.

A bit about you

To be successful in this role, you will have a solid understanding of Australian financial accounting standards and practices coupled with extensive CA/CPA experience. You will be able to convey information clearly and effectively, using the most appropriate communication medium, delivering messages with clear purpose and importance to impact the opinions and decisions of others. You will work collaboratively with others, building and maintaining effective relationships to achieve common goals and objectives
