**Job Description Summary**: The Hydro Services Manager will drive services activities for hydropower plants in Australia and New Zealand. Duties will include proposal development and execution of services transactional works.
Services transactional works include maintenance and repairs, condition assessment, technical assistance, spare parts and training for hydro turbines, generators, control systems and governors, auxiliaries and balance of plant.
The Hydro Services Manager will provide leadership and technical/commercial support throughout all phases of a project including sales and execution.
**Essential Responsibilities**
The Hydro Services Manager will:
- Develop strong relationships with hydro power plant maintenance teams and understand assets, maintenance needs and budget, and upcoming outages schedules.
- Actively visit customers’ plants, participate in customer meetings and connect customer needs with our products and service solutions
- Deliver timely / accurate responses to customer technical inquiries including proposal and execution (for transactional opportunities) leveraging GE Hydro Sales and Commercial Operations, Engineering (Fleet reliability Operations, Installed Base Center of Excellence) and Sourcing.
- Provide hands on technical support to customers and field teams for general services and specific upgrades
- Project Execution: Lead the execution (incl. site activities and project reviews with customers) with respect to EHS, time, quality and cost commitment in cooperation with engineering, supply chain and site teams, and manage the project financials (sales milestones and cash, risk & opportunities)
- Ensure Customer Relationship Management tool (CRM) accuracy
- Identify supplier needs and coordinate with Service Buyers for new supplier qualification
**Qualifications/Requirements**
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification
- Minimum of 5 years experience in hydropower electro-mechanical field services i.e. maintenance, installation and commissioning or manufacturing
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical/electrical/hydraulic drawings and systems
- Minimum of 3 years of commercial experience interacting with customers and delivering proposals
- Willingness and ability to travel to and work on projects within Australia and New Zealand.

- Comfortable providing technical presentations to peers, customers and leadership regarding the details of technical issues and project status
- Strong, self-directed, collaborative team player with interpersonal skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence stakeholders (internal and external).
