**The Role**
The successful applicant will work as part of a team in:
- Performing straightforward information and records management activities in accordance with relevant legislative and Defence policies and procedures;
- Contributing to the maintenance of security classified information material in accordance with departmental requirements;
- Acquiring understanding of governance requirements and relevant information and record management systems;
- Sharing information with the team and contributing to team discussions;
- Working collaboratively and operate as an effective team member.
**About our Team**
This role is a part of the Defence Archives digitisation projects team, assisting with the management of the collection of records ready for transition for digitisation and responding to requests from internal and external customers (the public and other agencies) for access to the records.
The successful applicant will work alongside a team of approximately 16 staff undertaking records digitisation. You will support the management team by ensuring services are provided to the required standard, be engaged, productive and providing a high standard of customer service.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Demonstrated experience working with a team in a service delivery environment.
- Demonstrated ability to identify issues and deliver continuous improvement activities.
- Effective communication, organisation and negotiation skills.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement and liaison.
A minimum of 2 years’ experience working within a customer service/service delivery environment is highly desirable.
