**About the Role**:
The Project Delivery Office, Customer Engagement is at the forefront of delivering enterprise software solutions that empower Queensland schools, teachers, and principals.
As the Director, Customer Engagement, Project Delivery Office, you will provide strategic leadership and oversight to ensure the effective delivery of school-facing software projects that align with departmental goals and priorities.
This role requires a highly skilled leader with expertise in stakeholder engagement, project governance, resource coordination, risk management, and strategic alignment to deliver innovative and impactful solutions for Queensland schools.
**As the Director you will**:
Actively ensure effective communication and engagement with all project stakeholders, including senior executives, project teams and internal and external partners
Ensure projects are managed effectively using established methodologies and standards by facilitate regular project manager meetings to review project statuses, timelines, and deliverables
Ensure the project portfolio aligns with strategic objectives by coordinating with senior management to maintain alignment with departmental goals
Oversee risk management practices, ensuring risks are identified, assessed, and mitigated effectively by each project manager
Monitor and advise on resource allocation to optimise utilisation and prevent conflicts by collaborating with cross-project resource sharing and planning sessions
Review project reporting, ensuring metrics are tracked and communicated to stakeholders effectively
Promote the sharing of lessons learned, best practices, and project documentation to improve outcomes
Review project governance structures and ensure compliance with organisational standards, policies, and regulatory requirements
**About You**:
Strong leadership skills
Strong communicator with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders
Ability to create and maintain a culture of continuous improvement
Customer-centric mindset approach is desirable
Knowledge of how schools operate is desireable
An understanding of project managment is desireable
