An exciting opportunity has become available to work as a Post Office Counter Officer working with Lake Heights LPO.

**Your main responsibilities will include**:

- Working Casual Shifts offered at Lake Heights LPO after the training phase (10-15 hours per week): Monday - Friday.
- Provide customer service and respond to front counter requests (handling and processing cash, cheques, credit cards and EFTPOS)
- Performing customer sales and service transactions with customers
- Assisting customers with mail lodgements and associate costs
- Conducting and processing a number of identity services transactions.
- Ensure Confidentiality of Post Office customers is maintained at all times
- Promoting retail products and services through up-selling and cross-selling, merchandising and other promotional activities
- Building rewarding relationships with customers by understanding their needs
- Assisting with administrative duties such as stocktaking and record maintenance, notify manager when Post Office stationery stock is low
- Other duties as requested by the Manager
- Ideally (but not essential) have worked previously as a Post Office counter officer or as a Bank Teller
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Highly developed face to face customer service and communication skills
- Must be reliable, professional, and work well in a team environment as well as independently
- Have experience in customer service and/or cash handling
- Be fit to lift up to 16kgs of mail regularly and stand for your shift
