**What You Will Be Doing**

The Team Leader, Family Violence Intake and Assessment, is a valued member of the Family Violence Program at Peninsula Health. The role works within the state-funded Safety and Support Hubs, formally known as The Orange Door (TOD). The Family Violence Team Leader responds to the identified need to enhance safety of women and children in our community by supporting children, victim survivors and people who use violence (PUVs) through delegating and prioritising at risk clients. This position will lead an integrated team based The Orange Door’s Bayside/Peninsula Northern Access point (currently Windsor). Peninsula Health holds the specialty portfolio for people who use violence, the MARAM specialist PUV tool is utilised to undertake this work.
Each Team Leader at The Orange Door supports a team of practitioners from multiple organisations, who are required to respond to the risk and needs of clients. These practitioners hold specialist skills working with PUVs, victim survivors, and family violence responses, ensuring family and child wellbeing. The Team Leader works in conjunction with a Senior Practitioner to lead the integrated team.

**What You Need**

We anticipate you will have:

- A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work or Psychology or Social Sciences as per the Royal Commission into Family Violence recommendation 209
- Demonstrated leadership experience in working both independently and as a part of a multi
- disciplinary team, with the ability to work effectively, supportively and flexibly.
- Psychologists require full registration with AHPRA
- Social Workers must be eligible for membership of the AASW
- Extensive experience and demonstrated positive outcomes in supervision and consultation.
- A demonstrated high level of experience and knowledge working within theories informing Family Violence practice, including systems, trauma informed care, family violence and strength based frameworks.
- Relevant or transferable experience within the Family Violence sector that demonstrates the Core Competencies, Attributes and Capabilities
- Experience in completing risk assessments and safety planning with high-risk clients with complex needs using the Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Management (MARAM) Frameworks and tools.
- Strong understanding of evidence-based practice for working with people who use violence
- Demonstrated ability working with individuals with complex needs and risk issues in Family Violence and any of the following service areas; Family Services, Child Protection, Housing, Disability, Mental Health and/or alcohol and Other Drugs
- Demonstrated ability to think broadly and holistically in relation to service interventions and responses
- Excellent interpersonal/communication and documentation skills and ability to work collaboratively and effectively in all professional relationships.
- Demonstrated well-developed organisational and administrative skills, including ability to effectively manage time and competing priorities
- Familiarity with the key underpinning legislation including the Privacy Act, Health Records Act, Children, Youth and Family Act, Family Violence Act
- Demonstrated knowledge of No to Violence principles, standards and practice
- Commitment to continuous quality improvement and evidence-based practice
- Current Victorian drivers licence, Working with Children Check and a satisfactory police check.
- Computer skills - excellent working knowledge of relevant IT platforms
