**OUR CLIENT**

Our client is Australasia's specialist provider leading technical expertise of services and products in the area of high voltage engineering.

Moreover, sits within a network of specialist companies delivering world-class electricity and fibre solutions. They provide services in primary and secondary installation, testing maintenance services for transformers, switchgear and associated substation equipment across Generation, Transmission and Distribution.

**ABOUT THE POSITION**

As a Technical Specialist, you will carry out commissioning and maintenance on a range of HV assets, including large transformers and SF6 switchgear. This will see you carrying out testing and fault finding for complex equipment related to substations. In doing so, you will work closely with a variety of stakeholders including customers, consultancies, equipment suppliers and project managers.

As well as planning and executing daily technical work, you’ll review commissioning plans prior to submission, ensure testing equipment is appropriately maintained, review commissioning activities and check protection as-builds.

**Essential Criteria**:

- With a strong background in transformers, switchgear and/or associated substation equipment.
- Worked on a variety of projects and sites, across the full spectrum of the HV industry.
- An agile individual that relishes working directly with clients
- A strong team player and willing to get stuck in.
- Experienced in primary testing (ideally with secondary too but not essential)
- Background from different areas of the HV industry.
- Able to travel and be comfortable working away from home regularly.
